I know you will remember and I often think about the trick that Dennis and Jean played on us when they when they persuaded us to go with them to see a film on a Sunday afternoon when we first met each other. In the following few weeks we went to the pictures, to speedway and those lovely walks in the park. We walked together then while in the army we wrote every day. I shall forever be grateful to Dennis and Jean.
 
We married each other and had a wonderful little boy who we christened Steven. We would take him for walks in his pram and then by holding his hand. I also remember cutting my jacket down for his school uniform. We had meetings and outings with the lovely family we had, especially the young children whose kisses you loved. We had holidays and tours in Devon, in Cornwall, in Scotland and in the Lake District and we then bought this lovely house where we have lived happily for 43 of the 74 years we have been together.
 
But now it’s time my wonderful wife for you to step into your heaven where the angels will be waiting with your wings.
